Xavier Martinet becomes marketing director of the Renault group

The General Manager of Renault Italy returns to France to head the marketing of Renault Group worldwide.

The world marketing management is changing hands. Indeed, François Renard leaves the Renault group, according to the press release of the company, and is replaced on 2 December 2019 by Xavier Martinet . The latter is attached to Olivier Murguet , Director of Regions and Commerce, Deputy Director General of the Renault group.

Xavier Martinet, a graduate of ESC Rouen, began his career at Renault in 1997 in Hungary. He then joined the Europe sales department in 2002. In 2007, he joined Renault’s commercial subsidiary (RRG) as head of sales in Bordeaux. In 2008, he was appointed Executive Secretary of the Europe Region Director and then World Sales Manager.

In 2010, he joined Nissan North America as Senior Brand Manager Marketing Range. In 2013, he was appointed director of the commercial division Renault Portugal, then marketing director France in 2015. In 2018, he became general manager of Renault Italy.
